Lecture Series about the Climate Crisis: „Four Dimensions of Environmental Care In and Of Games“

The UP4Future group (including Scientists for Future of the University of Potsdam), together with the climate protection management of the UP, has organized the “lecture series on the climate crisis”, in which many renowned scientists (for example from the PIK and the AWI) will speak on various topics. The lecture will take place every Tuesday at 4:15 pm at the Neue Palais in room 1.09.1.14 and of course online.

We hope to find a large audience outside the university as well. The lectures will therefore be accessible via Open.UP (after quickly setting up an account) and as a live stream via Media.UP also for external people!

For students, there is the possibility of credit via Studiumplus as well as in the field of physics.

The first part of the lecture deals with the physical basics of climatology. Furthermore, the changes caused by climate change in animate and inanimate nature are dealt with. In the third section, the lecturers deal with the possibilities of climate protection. In the end, aspects of the climate crisis in politics, the economy, and society are discussed. Various lecturers from the University of Potsdam, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), and the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research will present on the different topics.

Ringvorlesung zur Klimakrise: „Four Dimensions of Environmental Care In and Of Games“
